It boasts the largest Caribbean and South American museum in NYC, a museum geared only to all things related to New York City, and the future home to a new museum specifically focused on African Art. The endless local-community cultural centers and gardens reflect the neighborhood’s cultural diversity. "SPIRIT OF EAST HARLEM MURAL"
This towering mural, homage to the neighborhood as it was in the 1970's, is made up of loving portraits of residents set in a landscape of high rises. Artist Hank Prussing created the mural in 1978, and it was later restored by artist Manny Vega as a celebration of the long-standing and Latino tradition of murals.

"CRACK IS WACK MURAL"
The artist was the world famous NYC based POP Artist - Keith Haring created in 1986. Located on 128th and the Harlem River Drive. for more information see the NYC Parks Department bio on this mural.

"SAINT CECILIA'S CHURCH"
Roman Catholic Church located on 106th Street between Lexington and Park Avenues. Built in 1883.
