There is so much happening at this revered kitchen tucked away on 110th Street/ Tito Puente Way, and none of it is to be missed. Tastings Social was founded as a premier Bespoke Catering & Events agency by Alexandra Morris, who worked alongside famed pastry chef Francois Payard. Kenichi Tajima, then Executive Chef to Payard’s and Morris’ Tastings Social, conceptualized Mountain Bird in 2013, occupying the tasting room of the catering company, and this East Harlem townhouse has been energized with dining excellence ever since. After receiving a Michelin nod and limitless praise from serious NYC epicures, the Mountain Bird kitchen made way for another super star, Executive Chef, Cedric Durand.
Chef Durand who also sits at the helm of Tastings’ kitchen, hosts a weekly Monday pop-up featuring Spanish cuisine and cocktail menus that transports guests to an evening in Barcelona, yet, while still in the ever- cultural El Barrio neighborhood of Manhattan.
